Shop and Workshop
Rik’s
Bike Shed incorporates a well equipped workshop, staffed by Cytec
Approved bike mechanics, trained to get you back on (or off!) the road.
In addition to repairs, if your bike is in need of a little TLC, then
Rik’s Bike Shed offers bronze, silver or gold service packages to get
your trusty steed riding like new again. We can also arrange re-sprays.
Whatever your concern, we’re here to help and advise.
Rik’s Bike
Shed has a selection of parts and accessories, along with equipment and
clothing for men, women and children. We stock a range of funky, casual
t-shirts and books - perfect souvenirs or presents to take home from
your Scottish holiday. You can also fuel up on the energy bars and
drinks in stock. If you’re looking for a bike we are happy to help and
advise. We usually have second hand bikes from the hire fleet or can
order in a new bike to suit your needs.
Cycle Museum
Dumfries
and Galloway really is the home of cycling, in fact the first ever bike
was invented just down the road from Drumlanrig Castle by Kirkpatrick
Macmillan. Rik’s Bike Shed is the gateway to the fascinating Cycle
Museum at Drumlanrig where you can see a replica of Macmillan’s first
bike, original penny farthings and trace the history of the bike
through to present day.
